iMIS Chapter Experience Release Notes

The following release notes describe the enhancements and bug fixes deployed to the iMIS Chapter Experience (ICE) product. Entries are grouped by year, and each entry is labeled with the ICE version it applies to.

To confirm which patch your ICE system is on, log in to ICE Admin and go to Help > About.

Version numbering

All version numbers follow this pattern:

(major).(minor).(year + month).(day + hour)

For example, in version 5.2.2109.1516:

System parameter values represent the database version. Assembly versions correspond to the individual binary DLL library files deployed on the website.

August 2026

ICE portal dues payments not written back to iMIS - Previously, dues payments processed through the ICE portal were sometimes not recorded in iMIS, leaving transactions in an incomplete state without the cart being properly flagged as finished. This has been corrected with a process that detects incomplete transactions, confirms the data is safe to finalize, and completes the necessary update to ensure the payment is fully recorded. Users and administrators can expect dues payments made through the ICE portal to be consistently and accurately reflected in iMIS going forward.

Resolved an issue where HasConditionalValidation, ConditionalFromElementName, and ConditionalFormElementValue in the csi_ICE_FormItem table were blank after a form was cloned.
Resolved an issue where the email address was not set when creating a new member, caused by an iMIS update.

Disabled changes to number inputs from mouse wheel scrolling.
Updated the user guide link in the Admin portal.

Resolved an issue where a key field default value appeared on the Manage Approvals page alongside the value selected on the form.

Upgraded the Telerik library to version 2022.2.511.
Resolved an issue where changes were not saved when editing additional information questions from Workflow > Review > Manage Additional Information.
Resolved an issue where an incorrect FISCAL_PERIOD was set when a payment was posted by eCheck.
Added the ability for administrators to configure Google Analytics from the ICE Admin site.

May 2022 — ICE 5.2

Updated the CSI logo in the Admin site.
Restored the previously deprecated forgot password functionality.
Added duplicate record validation to the new member import.
Added support for the roster query parameter and form key parameter in the member form sitemap control.

Resolved an issue on the validation step for users with an apostrophe in their name, and added support for smart apostrophes when validating name submissions.

Resolved an issue in member forms that caused duplicate workflow activities and missing ICEFILE activities when a file attachment was included.

Updated the ManageMembersRadio.aspx Workflow Options parameter to strip carriage returns when present.
Updated the comparison operator used when retrieving a sales product from a general validation table to ignore a trailing space on the product code.
Updated the NewMemberSignup.aspx standard control to allow a blank State field when the country is not the U.S. or Canada.
Updated Task.DefaultCultureInfo to use the user's culture rather than the en-US default, resolving date format issues for users on non-U.S. browsers.
Updated AddMembers.aspx to resolve an issue that occurred when attachments were included in a workflow.

Changed the filtering behavior on the Jump To Chapter select control from starts with to contains.
Added a SQL stored procedure option to the Submit Payment page to allow customization of displayed items.
Updated conditional form fields to respect the requirement settings defined for the field in Form Design.

September 2021 — ICE 5.2

Allowed the description field with a lookup configuration to exceed the 255-character limit.
Updated the version reference to include both major and minor version information.

Resolved an issue where the amount still appeared on the receipt for manage member pages even when the hide amount option was selected.
