Cron job reference
Clowder uses cron jobs to run recurring background work automatically. This page describes each cron job in the Admin Panel, what it does, what it updates, and when it runs.
For information about enabling, disabling, viewing logs for, and manually running cron jobs, see Cron.
Understanding Clowder cron jobs
Go to Admin Panel > Cron to see the cron jobs in the following table. The Launch schedule column shows each cron job's schedule in plain language, followed by the schedule expression in parentheses as it appears in the Cron Command column.

| Pin Sponsor Cron | Removes the pin-to-top setting from events, news, polls, forum categories, and file categories. Also removes the sponsor from news, polls, forum categories, and file categories. | Pin-to-top and sponsor settings | Daily at 7:30 PM UTC (30 19 * * *) |

| Events Import Cron | Imports events and updates events that were already imported. | Events | Daily at 4:40 AM UTC (40 4 * * *) |
| Comments Counters | Counts the number of comments in forums and news. | Comment counts for forums and news | Daily at 4:05 AM UTC (5 4 * * *) |

NOTELaunch schedules are set in UTC. The last launch time shown in the Admin Panel appears in the admin's local timezone. See Cron for more information about reading the launch schedule.
