iMIS AutoPay FAQ

Can I still purchase the AutoPay license?

As of October 2020, clients on version iMIS 2017 who wish to purchase the AutoPay license are required to upgrade or be on the current release of iMIS Enterprise. In addition to security, upgradability and PCI reasons, clients will want to take advantage of ACH withdrawals and decline minimizer for recurring payments, as well as a better integrated UI for staff, members, and donors.

If you are hosted by ASI, contact your CPIL to learn how you can upgrade to iMIS Enterprise

If you are self-hosting iMIS 2017 and have a DataVault on-site, you will be able to migrate the on-site DataVault to a secure ASI Azure-hosted DataVault when ready to upgrade to iMIS Cloud Enterprise.

What is iMIS AutoPay?

iMIS AutoPay enables automatic renewal of membership fees and recurring donations using the member or donor’s credit card. The option can be made available to members and donors in the Join Now and Give Now pages of your website.

You can set your website to invite the member and donor to opt-in, or to opt-out of automated renewals or even have the option switched on for all new members and donors.

How does iMIS AutoPay work?

AutoPay uses a tokenization engine (DataVault) to process credit card and bank account information for recurring payments while maintaining PCI compliance. The DataVault is a tokenization engine that supports processing of credit card and bank account payments while maintaining PCI compliance.

What payment gateways are supported with AutoPay?

Why is there an open credit (prepayment) on the member or donor's account after the recurring payments were processed?

If the iMIS invoice was already marked as paid or partially paid at the time the payment was processed, the processed payment appears as an open credit on the member or donor's account page.
