To set iMIS authorization levels

The following authorization levels must be set in iMIS before you can use EXPOCAD:

  1. Log on to iMIS as MANAGER.
  2. From System Setup, select Security administration > Users.
  3. Find a Full or Casual user and open their user record.
  4. Set the following authorization levels:
  • To allow the user to have access to both the EXPOCAD Local Setup menu item (Expo > EXPOCAD Local Setup) and the EXPOCAD Import menu item (Expo > EXPOCAD Import), the user must have an Expo Mgmt authorization level of 4 or higher.
  • To allow the user to have access to the Delete button on the EXPOCAD Import window, the user must have an Expo Mgmt authorization level of 8 or higher.
  • To allow the user to have access to the iMISFind application, the user must have a Members and Expo Mgmt authorization level of 1 or higher. When a user with an unauthorized level tries to use the utility a message displays telling the user the level of authorization needed to access that feature and to contact your system administrator to obtain the necessary authorization.

EXPOCAD security is independent of iMIS Security.
