System Settings: Social Learning
To update the Social Learning settings, do the following:
- Go to System Administration > System Settings.
- Click the Social Learning tab.
- Define the following settings:
- Allow External Badges - Set to Yes to allow OpenBadges integration between TopClass and Badgr Backpack or Credly.
- External Badge Issuer - Select the external system you want to display and share badges for in TopClass. TopClass can be integrated with Badgr and Credly.
- Badges Enabled - Set to Yes to allow creation of badges for users.
- Max Image Upload Size for Badges - Set the maximum file size in MB for uploaded badge images. System default is set as 0.256MB.
- External Badges Issuer Authentication Server - Enter the server URL for connection to External Badges Issuer oAuth.
- External Badges Issuer Client ID - Enter the client ID provided by External Badges Issuer for connecting to Backpack.
- External Badge Issuer Client Secret - Enter the client secret provided by Badge Issuer for accessing Open Badges Backpack.
- External Badges Issuer Client Server - Enter the server URL to connect to for External Badges Issuer Backpack.
- Image File Valid Extensions - Enter the accepted extensions for uploaded images. System default is set to .jpg, .jpeg, and .png.
- Max Image Upload Size - Set the maximum file size in MB for uploaded images. System default is set as 0.256MB.
- Issuer Email - Enter the default issuer email address for badges.
- Issuer - Enter the default issuer name for badges.
- External Badges Organization Authorization Token - Enter the authorization token for the external issuing organization.
- External Badges Organization ID - Enter the organization id of external issuer who will issue badges.
- Display Language Picker on User Profile Settings - Select Yes to display language picker on user profile settings. This setting is independent of Global Application Header Language Picker setting.
- User Profile Progress Enabled - Select Yes to display user profile progress information. This information is displayed as a learning widget and on the Edit Profile screen.
- Testimonial Background Color - Set the background color for the user testimonials that appear on the user welcome screen.
- User Profiles Enabled - Select Yes to display user profile information.
- Allow Users Submit Ratings for Completed Activities Only - Select Yes to permit users to submit a rating for activities they have completed.
- User Ratings/Discussion Forum Posts Recorded As - Specify the user identifiers to allow for ratings and discussion forum posts.
- LMS Username - Displays user's LMS name (Firstname Lastname).
- Alias - Displays the alias specified by the user on their user profile.
- Anonymous - No user identifier displayed.
- User Ratings Comments Enabled - Select Yes to allow users to enter a comment when rating learning activities and products.
- User Ratings Enabled - Select Yes to allow users to rate learning activities and products.
