System Settings: GEO

A llms.txt file is a structured text file that provides a readable overview to AI tools, ensuring AIs access accurate information rather than pulling from outdated sources.

To update the GEO settings, do the following:

  1. Go to System Administration > System Settings.
  2. Click the GEO tab.
  3. Define the following settings:
  • About Description – Enter an extended description about the site or organization.
  • Additional Links – Enter free-form markdown for extra links or sections.
  • Contact URL – Enter link to contact page.
  • Enable Course Schema – If set to Yes, course items will be included in the llms.txt file.
  • Enable Event Schema – If set to Yes, events will be included in the llms.txt file.
  • Enable Review Schema – If set to Yes, reviews will be included in the llms.txt file.
  • Include Catalog Items – If set to Yes, items from the catalog will be included in the llms.txt file.
  • Include Categories – If set to Yes, catalog categories will be included in the llms.txt file.
  • Enable llms.txt Generation - If set to Yes, TopClass will generate and serve an llms.txt file at the root, and it will also be possible to manually trigger generation of llms.txt from this screen.
  • Maximum Catalog Items (Mandatory) – The maximum number of catalog items to include.
  • Organization/ Provider Name – Enter the name of the organization or provider.
  • ProviderURL – Enter link to provider’s site.
  • Site Purpose/ Tagline – Enter a one-line description or tagline for the site.
