Batch Award – Award activities to existing users

The Batch Award tool allows administrators to quickly create Completed Learning
records for multiple existing users in TopClass. The Award Activities to Existing Users
option is best when all users should receive the same activities with the same award date.

Award Activities to Existing Users

Use this option to efficiently award one or more existing TopClass activities to users who
already exist in the LMS. This method is ideal when all users should be awarded the same set
of activities using the same dates and values.

  • You want to award one or more existing activities to one or more existing LMS users.
  • You have a CSV file or a comma-separated list of existing LMS login names.
  • You do not need to customize award dates or credit values per user.

Do the following to award activities to existing users:

  1. Go to Resource Management > Users.

  2. Click Batch Award.

  3. Click Award Activities to Existing Users.

  4. Enter a Title. This title is visible only to admins.

  5. Add users to the award list by either:

    • Uploading a CSV file containing TopClass Username values, or
    • Manually selecting users in TopClass.
  6. Select the Activities you want to award to all selected users.

  7. Enter the Award Date to be applied to all users.

    If you need different award dates per user, use Customized Awarding of Activities instead.

  8. (optional) Enter an Expiry Date if the awarded activities should expire on a specific date.

  9. Click Award when ready.

  10. After you click Award, a confirmation message appears. Select OK, Got It to close the
    message. The page will refresh to the main view.

  11. On the History tab, you can review whether the process completed successfully.
    Select the title to view detailed results, including any skipped or failed lines.

Warning

This process does not enroll users into the activity. However, it will award any certificate
that is associated with the activity.
