iMIS Desktop to Staff site: Planned, under-consideration, and deprecated features
There are several features that are available in the iMIS Desktop that have not yet been migrated to the iMIS EMS Staff site.
WarningReview the table to ensure you will not lose important functionality by upgrading to iMIS EMS. If you are currently using any of the following features in the iMIS Desktop, you may need to wait to upgrade until the feature has been implemented. Talk to your AiSP or CPIL for more information.
The table outlines features with one of the following statuses:
- Planned - Features that are on the ASI backlog and are planned for future development.
- Under consideration - Features that are not planned but are under consideration for future plans.
- Deprecated - Substantial changes have occurred in the industry over the years since ASI first introduced the iMIS Desktop. Along with the industry changes, ASI has noted the changing needs for their customers. To best support these changing needs, some of the features once implemented in Desktop are going to be left behind.

| Permanently deleting contact records | The Desktop allowed you to permanently delete contact records. To retain data integrity, deleting contact records is not currently allowed in iMIS. | Acquisitions Management | The Desktop's Acquisition Management feature allowed you to import prospects and search an external prospect table from the iMIS global name lookup.
